MASERATI HAS teamed up with La Martina, a company that makes and develops Polo equipment, to create a bespoke luxury polo saddle.
Far from being just a piece of expensively tooled leather flung over the nag’s back, La Martina describes the exclusive saddle as being made of the finest quality, carefully selected full-grain leather and suede.
It’s difficult to imagine how a horse seat could perform like a car but La Martina says its saddle’s design is inspired by the Maserati Ghibli (in the background of the picture, top). It provides the rider with maximum comfort, stability and control to ensure “a safe and enjoyable ride in a fast-paced polo match”.
The new saddle, which was created to celebrate Maserati’s Centennial Polo Tour, will be displayed on June 15 at Cirencester Park Polo Club.
