Bland on bland: the world's safest driving song

IS THIS the most boring piece of music yet composed? A scientist has come up with a track stripped of all the distinguishing features usually associated with a decent tune, such as rhythm, vocals and hooks  —  all in the name of road safety.

The track, called Safe in Sound, is the first to be scientifically designed to encourage safer driving, including smoother braking and accelerating and alertness. It is based on research showing that some types of music, such as heavy rock, can adversely affect your driving.
