Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay is selling two of his Ferraris at auction
JAMIROQUAI frontman Jay Kay is perhaps one of the world’s most famous car nuts but his collection is apparently too big for his garage, as two of his prized Ferraris are to go under the hammer next month.
The pair up for sale at the Silverstone Auctions Ferrari Sale includes Jay Kay’s first ever supercar — a 1998 Ferrari 550 Maranello.
The Pininfarina-designed 550M features a 5.5-litre V12 engine producing 485bhp – good enough for a 0-60mph sprint in 4.3sec and a top speed of 199mph. It’s the last front-engined, rear-wheel drive V12 manual model ever to come out of Maranello.

Jay Kay’s car is in right-hand drive with a manual gearbox, and is in immaculate condition, finished in “Grigio Titanio” grey with a “Bordeaux” red leather interior.
It comes with a comprehensive service history and has covered just 13,980 miles from new. It is expected to sell for £135,000-160,000.
The 550 Maranello will be sold alongside Jay Kay’s 2011 Ferrari FF — the Italian firm’s first ever four-wheel drive car.
The FF has a 6.3-litre V12 engine producing a massive 651bhp, enabling a 0-60mph time of just 3.7sec and a top speed of more than 200mph.

Jay Kay bought his car in May 2013 from a dealer in Egham. It’s finished in “Grigio FF” grey with “Cuoio Toscano” (tan) leather upholstery with baseball stitching, and a special leather roof and boot lining.
The factory-fitted spec includes a TV Tuner with upgraded hi-fi and rear headrest screens, 20in forged Diamantati alloy wheels, a sports exhaust upgrade, carbon FF grilles and privacy glass.
With just over 17,000 miles on the clock and its rock star provenance, Jay Kay’s FF is expected to fetch between £120,000 and £135,000 at A Sale of Ferraris in association with Ferrari Owners’ Club GB on Friday May 18, 2018 at Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire.
