BMW SAYS it’s been so busy telling us all what a towering technological achievement its new i3 electric car is, that it’s forgotten to say it’s actually quite fun, too.

BMW SAYS it’s been so busy telling us all what a towering technological achievement its new i3 electric car is, that it’s forgotten to say it’s actually quite fun, too.

Cue a 107-strong group of apparently ordinary people (it does admit the not-so ordinary American actor and producer Josh Hartnett is among them but fails to mention the presence, too, of TV sports commentator and BMW brand ambassador Jake Humphrey) invited by the car maker to drive the new model in Berlin, London and Madrid. Through their delighted reactions, BMW aims to show us there’s more to the i3 than kilowatts and batteries.

Hollywood stars and TV personalities aside, BMW says the test drivers were people with no prior experience of electric-powered vehicles. You can see an edited version of the dashcam footage captured from their many drives below, while here you can choose which drivers to follow and edit their films as you wish.
