Ford’s premium sub-brand is known as Vignale. The company announced it to the world in September 2013 after noting that more than half of customers who buy its large vehicles order their car with a high specification.
The first premium model, the Mondeo Vignale, is released this month. It sports 20in alloy wheels, chrome door handles and mirror caps, quilted leather interior trim and seats, embossed scuff plates and luxury floor mats.
The Vignale experience goes beyond high-quality materials and hi-tech gadgetry, however: customers will also get perks such as VIP air travel, with chauffeuring and automatic check-in.
Whether there will be a Transit Vignale remains to be seen.
