Video: 600bhp Mini RX Supercar takes on grandma in World Rallycross TV preview
All 12 rounds to air on free-to-view TV
LOCK UP your grandmas: even the frailest senior citizens will be getting Rallycross fever this year, if this trailer for the TV coverage of the 2016 World Rallycross season is to be believed.
Quest TV will be showing all 12 rounds of the series, which kicks off in Portugal this weekend and features 600bhp cars capable of 0-60mph in less than two seconds in short races on mixed surfaces (dirt and asphalt). The big name drivers behind the wheel this year include Petter Solberg, Ken Block and Sebastien Loeb, reflecting the sport’s growing popularity.
The trailer shows British driver Liam Doran and his JRM Racing prepared Mini RX Supercar disturbing the peace in a quiet rural village and promises that “Sundays will never be the same again”.

Quest TV can be found on channel 37 of Freeview and YouView TVs, channel 144 of Sky TV and on channel 17 of Virgin Media. Viewers will also be able to watch on internet connected devices such as tablets and mobile phones during the broadcasts via QuestTV.co.uk/live.
