Intoxicated driver charged with dangerous driving after rolling SUV while trying to drift
Not the ideal drift car, nor a suitable location for such a stunt
CCTV captured the moment a young driver rolled his SUV while trying to perform a drift at a roundabout near the Gold Coast, Australia.
The 22-year-old was charged with dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, according to Queensland Police.
The driver is seen to drive around the roundabout several times before the vehicle flips. The roll had enough momentum to send the high-riding car over its roof and back onto all four wheels. The young motorist and three passengers then exit the vehicle before climbing back in and driving away from the scene.
No other cars were involved in the crash.
